I charge $50 an hour as exchange for my services, which typically include meeting and correspondence, ritual planning, and ritual facilitation time. Travel time is charged at half my hourly rate.

Customized Ceremonies

I facilitate ceremonies to mark significant life passages, including pregnancy, birth, coming of age, commitment, marriage, initiation of a new life path, and death. Once you decide to engage my services, I send you a cost estimate and we work together to create a beautiful gathering that genuinely reflects your personality, values, aesthetic, and goals. All ceremonies start with conversations about hopes, fears, expectations, purpose, and culminate in a commitment to details such as when and where the ceremony will take place. Typically, I respond to these conversations by providing you with a draft outline that utilizes a structure familiar to practitioners of most spiritual practices: welcome, statement of purpose, setting the sacred space, enactments appropriate to the purpose, blessing, and gratitudes. I incorporate Nature imagery, and provide ideas for including ceremony participant-guests. We then discuss the outline as well as other issues, such as how to:

  • help all participants feel welcome and included;
  • incorporate elements from various traditions;
  • incorporate music and song; and,
  • manage the stresses of mixing family, friends, and excitement all in one day.

Once we settle on the outline, I send you a final draft and any “homework” I would like you to complete. I will arrive for the ceremony with plenty of time to prepare and make your day as special, sacred, and glorious as possible!
